Structure

A number of significant projects have been completed since the inception of the Ovarian Cancer Program. This would not have been possible without the advice and support of the members of the Ovarian Cancer Expert Advisory Group (OVEAG). The OVEAG chaired by Dr Gerry Wain, included representatives from gynaecological and medical oncology, epidemiology, research, general practice and consumers.

Under the new Strategic Directions for the National Breast Cancer Centre (NBCC)*, agreed in 2005 by the NBCC* Board, three new Advisory Groups have been established, covering the broad areas of information, data monitoring and implementation. Ovarian cancer has been integrated into the work of these new groups, including ovarian cancer representation.

*In February 2008, National Breast Cancer Centre (NBCC) changed its name to National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre (NBOCC).
